At the riad in Marrakech, weโll set out to explore the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs. Our driver will pick you up to head southeast, crossing the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains. As we pass through Berber villages and take in panoramic views, our first stop will be Ait Ben Haddou. This impressive adobe fortress, a highlight of the route, once housed a thriving village and now attracts visitors and filmmakers alike, including the creators of *Game of Thrones*.
Following our visit to Ait Ben Haddou, weโll continue to Ouarzazate and then cross the Tizi-N-Ait Souan pass to Agdz, where weโll spend the night at the Ecolodge Hotel Agdz.

The next morning, our journey continues through the stunning Draa Valley and Zagora, heading to MโHamid. Weโll pass grand mountains, black rocks, and waterfalls, and travel through Agadez and Djebel Kisan. Our first stop is Ksar Tamnougalte, where weโll explore the historic 16th-century Kasbah, a key site for the Mezguita Berber tribe. After a traditional lunch in a Berber house, weโll move on to MโHamid El Ghizlane for dinner and spend the night in an ecolodge camp among the Sahara dunes at Rass Nkhla.
