Day 1: Marrakech
Arrival at the airport of Marrakech
and transfer to a traditional hotel in the medina.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley
From your hotel in Marrakech, we will transport you up to the High Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views of high peaks and expansive panoramas, while passing through traditional Berber villages. After crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m), you descend to the provincial city of Ouarzazate, famous for its film studios. After a stop, you continue across open plains, passing date palm oases and the Kasbah of Skoura, with the impressive M’Goun Mountain Range in the background. Arrival in Dades Valley in the late afternoon, the best time of the day, as the sun shines brilliantly on the spectacular red rock formations of the ‘Monkey’s Fingers’ and the mountains beyond. You will spend the night in the Dades Gorge at a comfortable auberge.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trek – Desert Camp
Leaving the Dades Valley, we continue to Tinerhir, exploring the palm oasis and iconic Todhra Gorge. Heading towards the Sahara, we pass stunning Kasbahs and visit Erfoud’s renowned Fossil Museum. A brief stop for local tea at Erg Chebbi precedes a 2-hour camel trek into the heart of the desert, guided by a nomadic camel driver. Witness the vibrant colors of the dunes and the captivating play of light and shadow at sunset. Reach a desert camp with nomad tents for a relaxing evening filled with dinner, traditional music, and stargazing in the shimmering desert night.
Day 4: Sahara Desert – Rissani – Kalaa Mgouna – Marrakech
Rise early to enjoy the stunning sunrise over the dunes. Climbing the nearest dune is an enjoyable experience. Following breakfast on-site, you can return to your hotel by taking a 45-minute camel ride, where your vehicle will be waiting for you to have a second breakfast and take a shower. Then we’ll drive back to Marrakech with a stopover in Kalaa for lunch. During the journey, we can stop at any point to take photos of beautiful scenery. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your hotel in Marrakech.
Day 5 : Marrakech – Airport
