Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chaouen
Welcome to the first day of your enchanting Moroccan Magic Tour: A 5-Day Adventure! Upon your arrival in Tangier, our dedicated staff will greet you at the port or airport, whisking you away in a private vehicle to embark on an unforgettable journey. Depending on your arrival time, we may make our first stop in Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the historic white medina, adorned with Spanish influences from its past as the capital of the Spanish Protectorate.
In the afternoon, we’ll reach the captivating city of Chaouen, also known as ‘the blue city’ due to its charming blue-painted houses. Wander through the narrow streets of the medina, visit viewpoints offering panoramic views of the town and the Rif mountains. Your night will be spent in a charming riad nestled within the medina.
Day 2: Chaouen – Fez
After a delightful breakfast in your Chaouen riad, our journey continues to the city of Fez. The road trip takes us through the scenic mountains and forests of the Rif, culminating in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fez.
Explore the city’s highlights with the help of an official guide, delving into the medina’s enchanting streets. Visit landmarks such as the Al-Karaouine Mosque, Nejjarine square, Bou Inania medersa, and more. After the guided tour, indulge in free time for shopping in craft souks or exploring museums. Rest for the night in a charming riad.
Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert Dunes
Post-breakfast, our journey takes a southern route towards the Sahara desert. Stop at Ifrane, the ‘Moroccan Switzerland,’ known for its picturesque architecture. Traverse the Middle Atlas, encountering the Cedar National Park and the endangered Barbary monkeys in Azrou.
Cross the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, famous for fossils and marble quarries, before reaching Merzouga. Transition to dromedaries (or 4×4) for a ride to the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a magical sunset in the desert and spend the night in a traditional Berber tent.
Day 4: Merzouga desert dunes – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Witness the sunrise over Erg Chebbi before returning to Merzouga by camel (or 4×4). Head to Rissani, exploring its traditional medina and market. Continue through the Dades Valley, discovering Todra Gorges, a rocky canyon reaching 200 meters. Experience the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, visiting Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. Overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazate, where dinner is included.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Fuel up with breakfast for the final leg. Visit the Ait Ben Haddou ksar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the filming location for Game of Thrones. Journey through the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views and capturing picturesque villages.
Approaching Marrakech, enjoy a free afternoon and spend the night in a charming riad within the medina.
