THE STORY BEHIND MYTHIC MOROCCO
Meet Abderrahmane Oukassi
Mythic Morocco Tours was founded by Abderrahmane Oukassi, whose connection to Morocco began among the villages, mountains and valleys of the Dades region.
Born in November 1986 into a traditional Amazigh family in a small village in the Dades Valley, Abderrahmane grew up surrounded by southern Morocco’s mountain landscapes, village life and local traditions.
His early working years took him from the villages of Dades to Oujda and later Marrakech. Along the way, he gained practical experience in construction, driving and working with travelers in Morocco’s tourism environment.
Over time, professional driving and tourism became his main direction. Travelling Morocco’s roads gave him firsthand knowledge of driving distances, mountain routes, desert regions, cities and the practical details needed to create comfortable journeys across the country.
However, local knowledge is about more than roads. Abderrahmane’s Amazigh heritage and roots in the Dades Valley remain central to the way he shares Morocco with travelers from around the world.
Mythic Morocco Tours grew from that combination of personal heritage, tourism experience and knowledge of Morocco. Today, the company focuses on private Morocco tours and tailor-made journeys designed around each traveler’s time, interests and preferred pace.
