Six days from the landscapes of Ouarzazate through the Sahara and Middle Atlas to the historic city of Fes.
Ouarzazate → Skoura → Valley of Roses → Boumalne Dades
Begin your private journey with pickup from your hotel, riad or Ouarzazate Airport.
Leave Ouarzazate and travel east toward Skoura Oasis, a beautiful landscape of palm groves, traditional villages and historic earthen kasbahs.
Continue toward Kelaat M’Gouna and the Valley of Roses, where the scenery begins to change from oasis landscapes to the rugged foothills surrounding the Dades region.
Travel through traditional Amazigh villages and enjoy scenic stops before reaching Boumalne Dades.
Depending on your arrival time, continue farther into the Dades Valley to experience panoramic viewpoints, unusual rock formations and dramatic southern Morocco landscapes.
Return to your selected accommodation for dinner and a relaxed first evening.
Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga · Sahara
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge.
Walk beneath the dramatic limestone cliffs of Todra and enjoy time to experience the gorge and surrounding palm-filled landscapes.
Continue through the changing scenery of southeastern Morocco toward Erfoud, one of the gateways to the Sahara.
From here, travel toward Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise from the desert landscape.
In the late afternoon, begin one of the journey’s signature experiences: a sunset camel ride across the Sahara dunes.
Reach your desert camp as the light changes over Erg Chebbi. Enjoy dinner and spend the evening surrounded by the silence and atmosphere of the Sahara.
Merzouga Sahara Discovery → Khamlia → Nomad Country
Wake in the Sahara and enjoy breakfast surrounded by the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Today is dedicated to discovering Merzouga beyond the camel ride and desert camp.
Travel around the Erg Chebbi region and visit Khamlia, a village known for its musical traditions and distinctive desert culture.
Continue through surrounding desert landscapes toward areas traditionally used by nomadic families.
When circumstances allow, there may be an opportunity to meet local people and learn more about life in this remote environment.
Explore the contrast between dunes, rocky desert terrain, small settlements and wide open landscapes.
Later, return to the Merzouga area and check into your selected riad for your second night in the Sahara region.
Merzouga → Rissani → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Middle Atlas → Fes
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and begin the journey north toward Fes.
Your first major stop is Rissani, an important historic town and traditional commercial center of the Tafilalt region.
Continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley, where palm groves stretch between arid mountains and traditional settlements.
Stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the valley before continuing toward Midelt, situated between the High Atlas and Middle Atlas.
After time for lunch, continue north as the landscapes change dramatically once again.
Travel through the mountain scenery of the Middle Atlas, with forests and high plateaus replacing the desert environment of the previous days.
Continue toward Fes and arrive in the evening.
Check into your selected riad or hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening after your journey from the Sahara.
Fes Half-Day Cultural Discovery
After breakfast, meet your local Fes guide and begin a half-day discovery of Fes.
Explore the atmosphere of the old medina, walking through narrow streets, traditional neighborhoods, artisan quarters and lively souks.
Discover important cultural and architectural landmarks while learning about the history, craftsmanship and traditions that have shaped Fes for centuries.
See local artisans at work and experience the contrast between peaceful riads, busy markets and the historic streets of the medina.
Your guided experience finishes around the middle of the day.
