Today is dedicated to discovering the Dades Valley on foot.
Meet your local guide and begin a guided hike through the valley, exploring village paths, agricultural terraces, dramatic rock formations and traditional communities.
The walking route can be adapted to your fitness level and the season.
Depending on the arrangement, stop for tea or lunch with a local family and experience a more personal side of life in the valley.
Return to Boumalne Dades for your second night.

After breakfast, leave Boumalne Dades and begin one of the most scenic mountain sections of the journey.
Travel toward Tisguine n’Aït M’Rao and continue through remote High Atlas landscapes, traditional settlements and mountain roads.
This is a slower travel day where the journey itself is part of the experience — wide valleys, changing geology, isolated communities and beautiful High Atlas scenery.
Arrive in Aït Bouguemez Valley and settle into your mountain guesthouse.
Aït Bouguemez Valley Floor → Sidi Moussa → Dinosaur Footprints
Today is the heart of the Aït Bouguemez experience.
Explore the fertile valley floor, where small villages, fields, irrigation channels and mountain landscapes create one of Morocco’s most beautiful rural environments.
Visit the historic Sidi Moussa granary, positioned above the valley and offering impressive panoramic views.
Continue to see the region’s dinosaur footprints and discover more of the valley’s cultural and geological heritage.
The day can include walking between villages, meeting local residents and learning about agriculture and traditional High Atlas life.
Aït Bouguemez → Remote High Atlas → Boutaghrar
Leave the Happy Valley after breakfast and continue through remote High Atlas country.
Travel through mountain landscapes and traditional Amazigh communities, with scenic stops along the way.
The route gradually takes you south toward the red-earth landscapes surrounding Boutaghrar, one of the quieter parts of the Valley of Roses region.
Arrive in Boutaghrar and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by mountain and valley scenery.
Boutaghrar → Valley of Roses → Skoura Oasis
After breakfast, travel through the landscapes around Boutaghrar and continue toward the Valley of Roses.
Reach Skoura Oasis, known for its extensive palm groves, earthen kasbahs and traditional rural life.
During the afternoon, visit a local pottery or craft workshop when available, giving you the opportunity to see traditional skills and meet local artisans.
Enjoy your final evening among Skoura’s palm groves.

Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Skoura.
Take time for another walk through the palm oasis or a visit to one of the area’s traditional kasbah landscapes before continuing to Ouarzazate.
