Day by Day Itinerary
Five days through oases, mountain passes, remote landscapes, nomad country and the extraordinary Jbel Saghro region.
Ouarzazate → Skoura → Valley of Roses → Boumalne Dades
Your journey begins in Ouarzazate with pickup from your hotel, riad or Ouarzazate Airport.
Travel east through the palm groves of Skoura Oasis and continue toward the Valley of Roses, surrounded by traditional villages and changing mountain scenery.
Arrive in Boumalne Dades, gateway to the Dades Valley and the southern side of the High Atlas. Enjoy scenic viewpoints and time to experience the dramatic landscapes surrounding the valley.
Boumalne Dades → Jbel Saghro → Tizi n’Tazazert → Nkob
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and turn south toward the wild landscapes of Jbel Saghro.
The road climbs into a very different Morocco — volcanic mountains, rocky plateaus, isolated valleys and vast open spaces historically used by nomadic communities.
Cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tazazert mountain pass, stopping at panoramic viewpoints along the way.
Continue toward Nkob, a peaceful southern village known for its traditional kasbahs and palm oasis.
The afternoon is kept relaxed so you can enjoy the atmosphere of Nkob before your trekking adventure the following day.
Nkob → Bab n’Ali Mule Trek → Nomad Country → Nkob
Today is the heart of the journey.
After breakfast, travel toward the extraordinary landscapes of Bab n’Ali, one of the most recognizable natural formations of the Jbel Saghro region.
Meet your local mountain guide and begin a guided trek through Jbel Saghro. Depending on the chosen route and local conditions, part of the experience can be made with mules, allowing you to travel deeper into the mountain scenery at a comfortable pace.
Walk among dramatic rock formations, dry valleys and open plateaus while learning more about the traditional life of the region.
When arranged, stop to meet a local nomadic family and share a simple traditional lunch in the mountains — a personal experience that brings another dimension to the journey.
After the trek, return to Nkob for a relaxed evening.
Nkob → Drâa Valley → Agdz
After breakfast, leave Nkob and travel west toward the great Drâa Valley.
The scenery gradually changes from the rocky landscapes of Jbel Saghro to green palm groves, traditional villages and historic kasbahs.
Enjoy scenic stops along the route before reaching Agdz, one of the most beautiful gateways to the Drâa Valley.
Spend the afternoon at a relaxed pace, with time to explore the oasis, traditional architecture and surrounding palm groves.
Agdz → Drâa Valley → Anti-Atlas → Ouarzazate
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast in Agdz before beginning your final journey north.
Take time for a final scenic stop around the Drâa Valley before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Ouarzazate.
The road offers beautiful viewpoints over the mountains and desert landscapes before arriving back in Ouarzazate.
Your driver will drop you at your hotel, riad or Ouarzazate Airport.
