After breakfast, journey through the tranquil Atlas Mountains, escaping the city’s hustle for the countryside’s calm. Explore varied landscapes and villages, leading to the legendary Ait Ben Haddouโ a fortified citadel of earthen dwellings enclosed by towering walls. “Once a wealthy family’s residence, it’s now inhabited by only seven families in a basic, waterless, and electricity-free lifestyle.” Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a film location for famous international films, Ait Ben Haddou offers breathtaking views from its top.
Continue through the picturesque Valley of Roses to the quaint and charming village of Boutaghrar. Boutaghrar is set amidst stunning natural scenery. Get ready for an “OFF ROAD” adventure! Accompanied by local music, the driver navigates along rocky trails that lead to the caves inhabited by the Bedouin people. At around 4 pm, we will arrive at Hassi Labied, the initial settlement situated in the Erg Chebbi desert. We shall exchange our 4×4 for a livelier mode of transportation, the camel. The camel excursion comprises of two hours, providing a view of the striking dunes, the vibrant tones of sand, the calm atmosphere, and a spectacular view of the breathtaking sunset. The voyage will transport you to an enchanted oasis situated in the heart of the desert, which is geared with tents, blankets, and cooking provisions. “Upon arrival, your guide will demonstrate the art of preparing traditional Berber tea and serve a local dessert delicacy for your dinner.”
