Crossing the High Atlas Mountains & the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs
After breakfast, leave Marrakech behind and begin your journey toward southern Morocco. Travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking mountain scenery, panoramic viewpoints, and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Continue towards Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its extraordinary earthen architecture before continuing toward Ouarzazate, often known as the gateway to the Sahara and a historic center of Morocco’s film industry.
Continue through the beautiful Skoura Oasis and the Valley of the Roses before reaching the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley. Along the route, discover historic kasbahs and peaceful villages before arriving at your boutique accommodation for a traditional Moroccan dinner and relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast in the Dades Valley, continue deeper into southern Morocco towards the spectacular Todra Gorges. Travel through the palm-filled landscapes around Tinghir and admire the towering canyon walls that make this one of the country’s most impressive natural landscapes.
Continue through the villages of Tinerhir, Tinjdad, and Touroug, experiencing the changing landscapes as the mountains gradually give way to the desert. Arrive in Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossils and unique geological heritage.
Continue towards Merzouga and the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, enjoy traditional Moroccan mint tea before beginning your Sahara experience. Ride a camel across the golden dunes as the afternoon light transforms the desert landscape.

Begin your journey westward along a different route through southern Morocco. Travel through the atmospheric town of Rissani and continue through the desert landscapes around Alnif and Tazarine.
Continue through the legendary Draa Valley, famous for its immense palm groves, dramatic landscapes, and historic settlements. Pass through Agdz and continue toward Ouarzazate, enjoying the changing scenery of southern Morocco.
From Ouarzazate, begin the spectacular journey back across the High Atlas Mountains towards Marrakech. Arrive in the Red City during the evening and settle into your welcoming riad for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
