Day 1 : Mhamid – Sidi Naji
We start our first walking day towards Sidi Naji. We will start with a walk of about 5 hours. Our professional team will accompany you during your sahara trip and they will stay with you until the last day when you will return back to Mhamid village. Worthwhile to make a stop at the old kasbah of Mhamid, located near the palmeraie (palm grove), 3 km from the Oued Draa (the biggest river in southern Morocco). After having lunch in the palm grove, you can take a nap before continue walking. We will pass stunning desert landscapes, until our arrival at Sidi Naji, where we will spend the night in a desert wild camp, installed by our team.
Day 2 : Sidi Naji – Erg Zahar
After breakfast, we start trekking towards one of the highest dunes, passing by the ruins of Ksar Bousnina. As usual, we take a break for lunch under the Tamarisk trees, which are typical for the sahara. We then continue our journey to Erg Zahar Dunes. This tall dune is surrounded by a sea of smaller dunes when the wind kicks up. Admire a wonderful landscape from top of those dunes, especially at sunset and sunrise. Overnight in wild desert camp in Erg Zahar Dunes.
Day 3 : Erg Zahar- Nbakt Sid Taïb
After Breakfast we start walking, following the traces of an old trading caravan in the desert, heading to Erg Sadra. After a few hours of walking, we cross the Valley of Draa to reach Erg Smar, where we will have lunch time. In the afternoon we continue for a few hours towards Nbakt Sid Taïb ,where we set up our wild desert camp for the night.
Day 4 : Nbakt Sid Taïb- Nbak Elaoud
After breakfast, we start another walking day while enjoying a various beautiful desert landscapes. During our trip, we will pass by Lhadibat, where we will have lunch. Our walk for today ends when we reach Nbak Elaoud, where we will spend the night.
Day 5 : Nbak Elaoud – Mhamid
After breakfast, our last stage takes us to Mhamid village, where we will enjoy lunch under the tamarisk trees. Arrival at Mhamid by the end of the day. it’s the end of our tour Wild Mhamid Camel Trekking
